Sunday Worship Service, December 6, 2009
Join us in the worship of the Lord by his Word and Spirit! We sing the great hymns of the Christian faith, including "At the Lamb's High Feast We Sing," "Jesus, Thou Joy of Loving Hearts," and "Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken." This includes a communion service with the hymn, "Here, O My Lord, I See Thee Face to Face." All hymns are from the original Trinity Hymnal of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (www.opc.org). Our Scripture readings are from the New International Version of the Bible. This service took place at First Presbyterian Church (Orthodox Presbyterian) in Perkasie, PA (www.1stPresChPerk.org). The Rev. Richard Scott MacLaren is the pastor. Other portions of this worship service include the sermon, "Zion's Priceless Treasure," Special Music: "How Sweet and Awful Is the Place," and Larger Catechism Meditation (Q. #20). They are all available on Tangle.com and at 1stPresChPerk.org.
Today's Devotional
A Prayer for Spending Money - Your Daily Prayer - May 29
No one is immune to the negative hold that money can have on our hearts in plenty or in want. I am a spender. I like to shop and get new things. However, God has taught me throughout my life to pray about my spending and to listen to the still, small voices that lead me in my financial decisions. God desires us to live a life of generosity, putting God before money. We cannot serve both God and money.
