In this short video, I discuss how Jesus holds the key to understanding one of the age-old debates of theology, namely whether or not God is theistic (intimately involved in the affairs of the world) or deistic (uninterested in the affairs of men). Theists believe that God is intimately involved in the affairs of the world, while Deists believe that God created the world but is largely uninterested in it and, like a wound-up-clock, let's it run its course. By using Jesus as a model, we learn that these two models are not mutually exclusive but equally representative of the one true God.
