Bluegrass Family Band Sings 'Top Of The World'

Enjoy this bluegrass performance as The Petersens perform ‘Top Of The World’ from The Carpenters. This 1973 hit was a number one single for The Carpenters and it still remains as one of their signature tunes.

Today, The Petersens are giving this pop song a bluegrass makeover with their unique performance.

The Petersens are a family band from Branson, Missouri. This bluegrass ensemble has traveled all around the world sharing their musical talents, but you can normally find them at home in Branson.

For ten seasons, The Petersens have performed at the Little Opry Theatre in the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex.

Now, they’re coming together to belt out the words to ‘Top Of The World’ and it’s a wonderful trip down memory lane.

“I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found, ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world”

The band chose this particular tune after reaching a milestone of 500,000 subscribers on YouTube. On the video caption, they wrote, “We could not be more grateful for this community and the encouragement you show our family and music. We are truly on Top of the World.”
