Little Girl Adorably Mistakes Her Christmas Puppy For A Hamster - Cute Videos

Let’s face it, just about every child dreams of being given a Christmas puppy as a present. This little girl clearly wanted a hamster but is just as pleased with her new tiny puppy!

Most parents would admit that they would love to surprise their children with a puppy too. With the use of social media, there are more and more “puppy reveal” videos to watch the moving reaction when a family member hears a whimper coming from a box. For those of us who are animal lovers, we can’t get enough of these sweet videos and just love to see how excited the recipient is to have a new four-legged family member!

This little girl is so excited when Mom tells her to open the box in the middle of their living room floor. She knows that something good and unexpected is in there! Giggling before she even opens the box, we can’t wait for her to see her new friend! But what she calls out is not what we were expecting.

“Aw! A baby HAMSTER! Awwww. Hey, Hamster!”

As she finally gets the box open, the little girl proves that she too is a total animal nut. She wastes no time announcing “Aw, I love her!” Even after taking the little puppy out of the box, she doesn’t seem to know that her hamster is actually a dog. At this point, Mom is cracking up as she asks the girl to repeatedly tell her what her new animal is. Each time, emphatically, the girl replies “A HAMSTER”. We were laughing so hard, especially when the little girl exclaims, “He looks like a dog!” Slowly Mom convinces her that it IS a dog, but the girl doesn’t care either way – hamster or dog – she’s going to love it!
