For The Joy Set Before Him
I have often heard well meaning Christians communicate the idea that they are doing things without a view toward what they will get in return. Insinuating, that some how it is selfish to do things with a view of the payment or reward. I know that most look to God to be rewarded, however some have been persuaded that this is some how unchristian to take such a view. What does the word have to say about such things as being rewarded for work? Where should the Christian mindset be when working the good work?
