Another human being, such as a pastor, might be involved in the process when we are forgiven, but Jesus does the forgiving. Another human being, such as a medical professional, might be involved in the process when we are healed, but Jesus does the healing.
And please don't let anyone talk you into believing that the healing mentioned in Isaiah chapter 53 was only a spiritual and an emotional healing. Yes, Jesus made it possible for my rebellious spirit to be healed. Yes, Jesus made it possible for me to get free from the guilt and shame of my sin. But Jesus also made it possible for me to be healed in my physical body.
