Justin Bousema Celebration of Life Service

Justin D. Bousema was a vivacious 25-year-old seminary student who loved the Lord and faithfully served Him. He was in his first year of grad school at the Sioux Falls Seminary where he was working on his Master’s of Divinity degree and was married to his wife Bethany for a year and a half when he was suddenly diagnosed with a rare bone marrow failure disorder called Aplastic Anemia. It is a rare disease that affects 3 in every one million people. Justin was diagnosed on April 27, 2007, and underwent an unrelated stem cell transplant on January 11, 2008. Justin was called home by his Heavenly Father on April 03, 2008, due to severe complications of the transplant. During the year he was sick, Justin chose to minister to God’s people even through his physical pain and suffering. God allowed His merciful love to radiate through Justin’s testimony of faith to touch the lives of His people. On April 07, 2008, over 650 people gathered at Justin’s Celebration of Life service to praise God for the beautiful human being He created Justin to be. Justin loved to WORSHIP, and when he did, he did it big and bold. Before he died, Justin told Bethany that he wanted a celebration! His service was a worshipful experience…we pray all who are willing to watch will be blessed beyond measure. It is an awe inspiring journey of trials and tribulations…but bigger yet, of God’s unfailing love to Justin and the rest of His people.
