Dancing Duo Performs Boogie Woogie Dance Tribute To Tina Turner

A pair of extraordinarily talented dancers showed off their awe-inspiring moves to a hit song from the late Tina Turner.

Like all art forms, dance is and can be used to do many different things. First, it can be performed strictly for entertainment purposes and enjoyment. Also, dance can convey several moods, thoughts and feelings. Dance can raise awareness of an issue, cause or topic. Additionally, as two dancers recently showed, dance may even pay tribute to someone who passed away.

Sondre and Tanya, who describe themselves as a “professional swing dance couple,” performed an impromptu boogie woogie dance routine, a tribute to the late iconic singer and performer Tina Turner. They strutted their stuff on the dance floor to what was arguably Tina’s biggest and most beloved song, “Proud Mary.”

In the clip posted on YouTube, the two skilled dancers begin, much like the song in the video, with an upbeat and frantic pace. They take the dance floor and go from zero to 100 instantly.

If their fast-paced, quick-footed moves weren’t already impressive enough, the pair of dancers take it up a notch. At approximately the 50-second mark in the 3-minute clip, Sondre does a flip, literally sending himself head over heels. He then proceeds to do the always painful-looking splits three to four times.

Not to be outdone, the young woman in the clip, Tanya, also displays her acrobatic skills. Around the 1:30-minute mark, she also goes head over heels, landing in perfect form and without missing a beat.

Their impressive dance routine is met with a thunderous and well-deserved round of applause from the onlookers spotted standing around the dance floor.

This couple is obviously extremely talented and never ceases to amaze with their inspired and sure-footed dance routines.

Psalm 149:3 “Let them give praise to his name in the dance: let them make melody to him with instruments of brass and corded instruments of music.”
