Blind Piano Prodigy Performs Amazing Duet With Teacher

Two people with physical disabilities gave a dazzling performance, putting their awe-inspiring musical talents on full display.

The world often looks at people and makes instant judgments based solely on their outward appearance. People, in their minds, will limit others based on their looks or some other superficial characteristic. But what’s truly astonishing is that no one is limited by what others think of them. People have it in them to accomplish breathtaking things.

One young woman, Lucy, who happens to be blind, is a piano prodigy. She has shown her gift for tickling the ivories repeatedly, thrilling audiences with her immense skills.

In a clip posted to YouTube, Lucky is joined by fellow pianist Derek Paravicini, who is also blind, for a stunning duet. Lucy’s music teacher also joined the fun. He plays the double bass in the clip.

The two skilled musicians go on to give a thrilling performance that is literal music to the ears. They have both been blessed by the good Lord with a level of musical talent that is not often seen or heard.

At the conclusion of their up-tempo and toe-tapping song, the crowd erupts with a well-deserved round of applause. As the crowd continues to show their appreciation for the performance, the camera moves out, slowly revealing that Lucy and Derek have been playing in front of a crowded auditorium.

The sheer amount of joy that playing the piano gives Lucy is wholly evident. The young woman plays with such skill and infectious happiness. In the clip, she even shows how she can play the instrument with one hand.

Several people who commented on the YouTube video mentioned being touched by the musicians’ performance. Some confessed they were even moved to tears by what they watched.

“Lucy is so amazing, so so amazing she brings joyful tears to my eyes. What a talented young girl,” one person wrote.

“Haven’t worked out how to watch without crying. Amazing performers and teachers. Truly wonderful,” someone else posted.

“She has music reverberating out of every single cell in her body. Amazing!” a third person added.

Proverbs 22:29 “Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men.”
