"Silent Night, Holy Night," Trinity Hymnal #161. First Presbyterian Church Perkasie
This great classic hymn of Christmas reflects on wonder of our Lord's lying in a manger as the babe of Mary and Savior of the world. Composed by the Roman Catholic priest Joseph Mohr in Austria as a hymn for a Christmas Eve mass, it gradually made its away over the Alps and across the ocean to the United States in 1839. Watch as Pastor MacLaren and Mr. Joseph Waggoner sing this moving hymn with accompaniment on the piano by Mrs. Rebekah Waggoner. This was sung during the Christmas Worship Service of 12/19/2010 at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA (www.firstchurchopc.org). Rev. R Scott MacLaren is the pastor.

A Prayer for Your Child to Be Bold for the Gospel - Your Daily Prayer - May 22
My prayer today is that we will not hinder children from knowing the Lord. Instead, let us pray that their boldness will arise. But let us also remember we cannot pray for our children to be bold in their faith if we aren’t bold enough to teach them!
