Bluegrass Quartet Performs 'Is That Footsteps That I Hear'

The talented bluegrass quartet of Redeemed shares the gospel with a rousing rendition of ‘Is That Footsteps That I Hear?”

This song was originally recorded by the classic gospel quartet of The Inspirations. The words remind us all that Jesus will return again and what a glorious day that will be.

“Is that footsteps that I hear?
Heavenly portals seem so near,
Heavenly lights are shining clear,
Is that footsteps that I hear?”

These two sets of brothers make up the Redeemed Quartet. On Facebook, Redeemed wrote, “The four of us had gone to North Carolina to hear one of our favorite Southern Gospel Quartets, The Inspirations.

While there, many folks wondered if we sang together. Well, we never had, but that, along with the fact that few in our generation sing the old gospel songs, sparked the desire to start a quartet.” And it’s fitting that they are covering a song from The Inspirations today.

Just listen as these 4 men belt out the powerful lyrics of ‘Is That Footsteps That I Hear?”

“Are you ready for the rapture, when we meet Him in the air,
Oh His coming is drawing closer, is that footsteps that I hear?
Many a saint has fought the battle, run the race and shed the tears, Now it's time to get excited, is that footsteps that I hear?”

We don’t hear these southern gospel songs like we used to. I’m so glad that this quartet is learning to sing these classics and sharing them with a new generation.
