Timothy House Orphanage - Orphan's Birthday

Timothy House Orphanage - Orphan's Birthday

This video is meant to help answer the question "Why do children come to Timothy House Orphanage?"

Most children living in orphanages such as ours here in Mexico are orphans. By legal definition an "orphan" has no parents or has one parent who can not or does not care for him. Many children are orphaned when one parent dies, is imprisoned or abandons them and the other parent, perhaps because of drug addition or severe poverty, does not care for the child. There are millions of these children. Most are cared for by grandparents or other family. But many end up in orphanages. Children who are victims of abuse also are placed in orphanages.

"Birthday Boy" is a story about a orphan neglected by his alcoholic mother after his father dies. While not a completely true story, it is based on real-life situations we've seen. Alexis (11) does a great job of acting out this boy's life as he is neglected and emotionally abused by his mother and peers. In the end he ends up finding love and a secure home at Timothy House.

We hope you enjoy the video, brought to you by the children here as a big "THANK YOU!" for all your love, prayers and support.

God bless,

Bob & Joy Huber
