I wrote this song as a call to fathers to rise to the challenge and be the fathers God has called them to be. Whether you have kids of your own, or whether you have an influence on kids, you can answer that call. I wrote this song while traveling, and after observing a father in the airport tell his son to get away from him and stop bothering him with questions about the airplanes. This song is also a response to my work with jouvenile delinquent boys with D&A addictions. I hope you enjoy it. I recorded it on my laptop at 3am. My mind envisions a country artist like Josh Turner singing this song (so if you know his agent....).
