I wrote this song partially based on Psalm 144:3-4, which reads: "O LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You think of him? Man is like a mere breath; his days are like a passing shadow." The last line of the chorus also partially comes from 1 John 4:19 - "We love, because You first loved us."
