Is the Old Testament no longer relevant to the church today? Is it merely a record of how God dealt with his people in ages past? In this meditation on the Larger Catechism Question #34, Pastor MacLaren shows how the Old Testament anticipated the coming of Jesus Christ through a variety of "shadows and types," and our understanding of the work of Jesus must be informed by that if we are to understand him properly.
