Youth Convention 2010
The 40th annual Diocesan Youth Convention was held May 14-16 at the Greenville Convention Center. The event concluded with a closing Mass celebrated by The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge.
In his homily, Bishop Burbidge noted how educators stress how most people are visual learners; they need to see something to understand it. He said, Jesus was the perfect teacher. Referring to the Gospel of the day, the Bishop said, "As he ascends to heaven, he sends forth the disciples to be witnesses, telling them not to just report to the people what I have said, but to show them who I am, through the example of your life."
