Gospel Choir Take The Judges To Church With 'Shackles' On BGT Semi-Finals

A gospel choir called Shalom Chorale takes the judges to church with their performance of ‘Shackles’ by Mary Mary on the Semi-Finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

“Take the shackles off my feet so I can dance, I just want to praise you
(What ya want to do?) I just want to praise you (Yeah, yeah)
You broke the chains now I can lift my hands (Uh feel me?)
And I'm gonna praise you (What ya gon do?) I'm gonna praise you”

During their performance, the members of Shalom Chorale are seen filling up an empty church with their beautiful voices. They have such a passion for the Lord and song, and their voices spread such peach and love when they sing.

According to their website, Shalom Chorale is “a group of sensational singers with a passion for music and faith in God.” The group also shares the meaning behind their choir’s name. “In times like these, when news of uncertainty, fear and rumors of war seem to dominate our world, we feel there is a need for peace, hence our name Shalom Chorale.”

The director of Shalom Chorale is Dr. Oluwafemi Ayodeji, and he is assisted by his wife, Olaide Ayodeji. The group made their first TV appearance in 2018 on the BBC Gospel Choir of the Year competition, and they won!

Now, on BGT, Shalom Chorale can share their talent and their hope with the world. What a fantastic group of singers!

John 16:31-33
Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
