Caro Mio Ben
this video is of phia15 singing Caro Mio Ben by Tomasso Giordani. It was written between 1730-1806. It was a poem that Giordani found and made a song out of. The poet, however is unknown. It's Italian so I will translate:
Credimi almen: believe me at least,
senza di te: without [of] you
languisceil cor: languishes the heart
il tuo fedel: Your faithful one
sospira ognor: sighs always
cessa, crudel: Stop cruel one,
tanto rigor!: cease so much hardness!

supposedly it was a love letter that turned into a threat... =] enjoy!
