2 Sisters Perform 'Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)' On The Voice Knockouts - Staff Picks

Kelly Clarkson struggles to make and deliver her decision after hearing two fantastically talented sisters perform “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” on The Voice knockouts! "You're all so gifted and so young, so you feel like such a jerk being, 'sorry, I picked the other one.'"

Macie and Marie Cunningham take the stage to perform a song that harkens back to their earliest singing days. They’ve been singing worship songs all their lives at their Hamilton, Ohio church. Keep in mind that these ladies are only 15 and 14 years old!

The two wear coordinating chartreuse outfits. However, they distinguish themselves as individuals as well. Macie wears a pantsuit, and Marie wears a jumpsuit. Both have long, polished nails, but they have selected hairstyles, jewelry, and footwear that seem to reflect their preferences and styles. They look great individually and as a pair!

That’s just the way they sound, too. Each girl has a beautiful voice, but together they create glorious harmonies—ones bound straight for heaven! And, as they sing Hillsong United’s 2013 Christian hit, Macie and Marie at times raise their arms and close their eyes. It is obvious that they truly “feel” the message within their song selection.

As the teens finish their performance, they get standing ovations from Kelly and Ariana. Now, it’s judgement time. There is another beautiful and brilliant songstress on stage, and it’s 13-year-old Hailey Mia.

Blake speaks first, “This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.” With that, the trio of precious teens giggle as girls do. Ariana and John provide their feedback, and it’s time for Kelly to choose. Kelly describes Macie and Marie’s performance as beautiful and pure—the message of their song shared by two such young hearts.

Ultimately, Hailey Mia wins the knockout round, but it’s not an easy choice for “Mama” Kelly! The sisters are super gracious, Macie saying, “It’s just been so awesome to work with you Kelly, and we just love you so much.” And, it just got harder for Kelly!

Great job, Mom and Dad Cunningham! No doubt Macie and Marie are going to do just fine!
