'Better Hands' Pat Barrett Live Worship Performance

Listen to this wonderful live worship performance from Pat Barrett of his song ‘Better Hands.’

“Don’t want to get ahead of myself, don’t want to go my own way, cause when I go my own way
I always fall short, been learning how to let it go, I’m learning how to trust You
Cause every time I trust You, I’m never more sure, this is in better hands
This is a better plan, this is in better hands than my own"

What a great reminder to us to leave our hands and our plans open to God. And Pat Barrett shares on YouTube about how this song helps him with that.

“If you’re anything like me, faith often feels like ‘letting go.’ Letting go of the things I can’t control, of the unnecessary worrying about tomorrow, of the constant lie to try to prove myself or earn my worth,” he writes

“This song helps remind me that there’s no one who loves me like He does. Living in this love has been the most profound and liberating experience in my life. I’m so happy to finally share this song with the world! It’s all in Better Hands.”

Pat also shares in an interview about Bible verses that remind of the truth that is sung about in this song. “The scriptures remind us that the hands of God that formed the world (Psalm 95:5) and made us (Psalm 139:13) and meet our needs (Psalm 104:28) can be trusted every day,” he says. “So on the days when trust feels easy, I’ve been singing this song as a hymn of joy. And on the days when it feels like even a seed of faith is hard to come by, I’ve been singing this song as a reminder of the truth: that this is in better hands than my own.”
