Raccoon Adorably Catches Snow in Viral Video

Animals seemingly never cease to amaze. Whether it is because of their odd and peculiar habits or their often-surprising displays of intellect, they do make for some great entertainment.

While cats, dogs and other domestic animals provide most of the laughs from the furry and four-legged group, wild animals can be just as hilarious! One video featuring the masked bandit of the forest – the raccoon – proves this to be the case.

In the video, the cute little guy is seen in what appears to be someone’s fenced-in backyard, with a number of dead potted plants and newly-fallen snow on the ground.

But it is just seconds into the 27-second clip that will have you “oohing” and “aahing.” That’s because, as can be seen in the footage, it’s snowing lightly and the raccoon stands up on its hind legs and catches snow as it lightly flurries.

The animal stands up on its legs several times, in a number of different spots, throughout the video, catching some snow as it falls to the ground.

At one point, the animal appears annoyed or bothered by the snow landing on its head as it momentarily shakes its body. It then stands back up and tries to snatch even more snow out of the air.

It is not long until the animal appears to have grown tired of playing in the snow. The raccoon can be seen running off and out of the frame before the clip ends.

It remains unclear, at this time, what the raccoon’s ideas were for the snow or if there were plans for a raccoon-sized snowman. Only time will tell.

Regardless of what the animal may have had in mind for the snow, I think we can all agree the wild animal trying to catch the snow is pretty cute!
