Free To Believe
I was thinking and realised just how many people need to claim out loud some of the foundational points of our Chirstian walk. ...kind of being down myself with troubles needed to proclaim my freedom and in a dream found myself proclaiming it this way. Just needing to say this again and again finding God listening and lifting my hands found Him speaking. These moments are difficult to explain but so refreshing and intimate. I needed to "withdraw" into this kind of peace tonight and found it to be insightful and uplifting to my soul. Thankful for times like this that renew the soul and lifts the sad heart to solid ground.
(Psalm 40:1-3)
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the desolate pit,
out of the miry bog, and set my
feet upon a rock, making my steps
secure. He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God. Many
will see and fear, and put their
trust in the Lord.

A Prayer for Intentional Friendships and Connection at a New Church - Your Daily Prayer - May 25
When we finally decided to make the change and find a new church, we sat down to talk about the things we were looking for. My heart felt grief wash over again. Aside from wanting a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church, at the top of my list was wanting a church that desired to truly know its people.
