Beautiful Rainbow
"I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth." (Genesis 9:13 NIV)
Seeing a wonderful rainbow here in Oregon made me think of my Hawaii. I wrote this song last year while driving up the mountains on the H3, going though a tunnel and seeing the spectacular view of the windward side. Then I sat under a tree on Kailua beach and finished the song. Some friends were hanging out with us, so we tried out the song. Being a little homesick, I dug out the recording and made this video. Rainbows are reminders of God's promise, and are symbols of hope. They're also really, really beautiful.
