'For Good' Broadway Cast And Crew Of Wicked Honor Front Line Workers - Inspirational Videos

The Broadway cast and crew of Wicked shared a touching video online of the song ‘For Good’ to honor the front line workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

“In honor of every person on the front lines, our WICKED community came together in song and in thanks,” they wrote as the video’s caption. “You have truly changed us all. For Good.”

The video starts off showing an aerial shot of Central Park. Then words appear on the screen for a moment: “To all those who have come into our lives to help when we need it most…We thank you.”

Ginna Claire Mason, who plays Glinda in Wicked, starts off the song.

“I've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn, and we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them, and we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today because I knew you”

As she sings, pictures of the Wicked cast pass across the screen, with all of them holding signs showing their gratitude to the workers on the front line.

“From all of us here at Wicked: We admire, salute, and sincerely thank all of our doctors, nurses, E.R. staff, 1st responders, and essential workers,” reads Michael McCormick’s sign. “What would we do without you? Bless you all.”

“You are heroes without capes,” Bill Ryall wrote on his sign. “Thank you.”

The song continues as photos of first responders, doctors, nurses, bus drivers, cashiers, and other essential personnel are shown in the video.

“Like a comet pulled from orbit as it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you, I have been changed for good”

Lindsay Pearce, who plays Elphaba in Wicked, continues singing this beautiful song with Ginna. It is a beautiful tribute to frontline workers everywhere. Just like in the words of Wicked, these are the people who have truly changed the world, “for good.”
