85-Year-Old Paddy And Nicko Earn Golden Buzzer For Salsa Routine

Salsa dancers Paddy and Nicko return to the Britain’s Got Talent stage for a routine that left everyone is awe.


We first met this unlikely duo when the competed on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2014. At the time, Paddy was 80 and she made quite the splash as an energetic salsa dancer with her younger partner, Nicko. The entertaining pair finished in ninth place and caught the attention of the world.

We learned that after Paddy’s husband died, she decided to take up dancing lessons. That’s where she met her teacher, a now partner, Nicko.

Today, Paddy is 85-years-old and she is currently the Guinness World Record holder for the 'Oldest Acrobatic Salsa Dancer.’ But age doesn’t mean a thing and Paddy and Nicko are out to prove that once again.

They are back on the stage that started it all as contestants on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. This special format features 45 competitors from all of the Got Talent franchises.

For six weeks, these all-stars will battle it out to see who will be crowned the ultimate champion. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites.

After the toe-tapping performance, judge David Williams couldn’t contain his joy. “This is one of the most joyous, most beautiful, most life-affirming acts we’ve ever had on Britain’s Got Talent. So let’s not mess about. Let’s do this for everybody here.”

That’s when he stood up and pressed the coveted golden buzzer for the beloved couple. What an incredible moment for this inspiring duo!
