The Church Must Unhitch Itself From W.E.B. DuBois' Problem of the Color Line, Part 14

The Church Must Unhitch Itself From W.E.B. DuBois' Problem of the Color Line, Part 14

TEXT: Acts 17:22-28

We saw in our last message that we are here on earth so that we can seek after God and find Him. Since we are entirely dependent upon God for our continued existence, it behooves us to search after Him. However, God is not far from us at any time. He is ready to receive us anywhere if only we will reach out to Him. He does not require rituals or temples. Sadly, many Christians in the Catholic and Orthodox churches, and even some Protestants, teach that baptism, good works, and the Church are an essential part of the salvation process. This is not so. God has His eye on us at all times, and is ready to receive us at any time, no matter what country we dwell in or what race we are.
