Doomsday Preppers: An Exercise in Futility

One of the most popular programs on satellite and cable television is National Geographic’s Doomsday Preppers. This program is solely dedicated to people that are preparing for a possible “doomsday” like a collapsed economy and an every-man-for-himself world. This economy could induce food shortages, job loss, and the loss of utilities so many are preparing for a “worst-case” scenario. The show involves many strategies in the event that society starts unraveling. They have began the process of or already completed such things as like fortify homes, installing bunkers, arming themselves to the teeth, storing provisions by processing and dehydrating foods, and setting up water purification systems or storing water for long-term survival. Will this be enough if, as they predict or prepare for, all hell breaks loose?

Brandon Heath: Top 8 Christian Songs

Brandon Heath is an award-winning contemporary Christian music star. He has released 4 studio albums since debuting in 2006. He has won 6 DOVE awards and been nominated for over a dozen more from various award shows including Grammy nominations. Born in music city Nashville, Tennessee, Heath at one time moved to Texas and spent a year being a worship leader at Woodlands United Methodist Church. Tony Dungy Quotes: Top 20 List

Tony Dungy is best known as the Super Bowl winning head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, but he is also an evangelical Christian who believe it or not at one time considered leaving football for the prison ministry. Tony became the first African-American head coach to have won a Super Bowl. They defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17 in Super Bowl XLI who were coached by fellow African-American head coach Lovie Smith who is friends with Tony Dungy. Tony said afterwards that he and Lovie are proud to be the first African-American coaches but they are more proud to also be the first evangelical Christians coaching in that spot.
