Faith Under Fire, Part 1
Part One of a short documentary on one of the early church's most vicious battles, waged in the early 300s by people in the church over the nature of Jesus Christ. Was Jesus more than a man? Was he created? Is he fully God? Arius, a church leader in Egypt, did not think so. The controversy led to the famous Council of Nicea in 325 A.D., when orthodoxy was defended and Arianism denounced. The video was made by student John Newton for a Dallas Seminary course on the Trinity.
