McGuire's Landing
This is Pete Huttlinger's "McGuire's Landing," although I've taken a good bit of liberty with it, especially in terms of tempo. It's a tune that I find only comes alive with a lot of rubato.
For all my guitar buddies, this is a Petros Grand Concert cutaway, in Brazilian Rosewood and Italian Spruce, tuned to DADGAD. The arrangement is in D, capoed at the third fret, which puts it in F sonically. I play with acrylic nails and flesh.
This is recorded with a single condensor microphone, a fairly inexpensive Studio Projects C1, with a touch of EQ to deal with a large, open room.
