Beautiful Patriotic Medley From Anthem Lights

Christian group Anthem Lights performs an incredible a cappella patriotic medley to honor our nation. This all-male ensemble is known for their talented cover songs and unique vocal arrangements. Now, they’re turning their attention to our nation this Independence Day with a beautiful medley of our favorite songs such as ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and ‘God Bless America.’

The four men stand in semi-circle and start to belt out the words to ‘The National Anthem’ without any musical accompaniment.

“Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?”

This iconic song was written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key The War Of 1812. Even though the British forces bombed Fort McHenry, the U.S. proved victorious during the battle. The next morning, Francis Scott Key spotted the American flag flying over the fort and he was immediately inspired to write down the famous words. Now, Anthem Lights is lending their voice to this song and others that uplift our nation.

“God bless America, land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with the light from above
From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America, my home sweet home”

This medley is the perfect reminder that we are one nation, under God. Let us all pray that God continues to bless our nation each and every day.

In honor of July 4th, we did a medley of our favorite patriotic songs! Have a safe, happy Fourth! Apple Music: http://apple.co/296E7fH Spotify: http://spoti.fi/297Zm0J
