Sermon: God Is Three In One
Does the thought of the "Trinity" puzzle you? How can God be three persons and yet one God? Isn't that a contradiction in terms? Wouldn't it be better to think of God as one person, and demote Jesus and the Holy Spirit to the status of angels or "lesser gods?" Why is the Trinity essential to Christian faith? Pastor MacLaren addresses the historic Christian faith in the Trinity and helps to clarify some of its concepts. Based on our series of messages on "Lessons from the Larger Catechism," this message was given at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA, on August 3, 2008.
