2008 God-Song Conference Overview
God-Song 2008, a regional conference for aspiring Christian songwriters, was held on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Christ Church in Fairfax Station, Virginia. The conference featured practical tips for the independent artist - crafting and polishing songs, copyright, publishing basics, licensing and promotion.
Speakers for the day included Rev. Clint Clifton, founder of God-Song; Brian Greene, director of worship & arts, Christ Church; Chris Joyner, independent artist, pastor of congregational worship at Fairfax Community Church and guest worship leader of Frontline (McLean Bible Church); songwriter Chris Anderson, Grammy in the Streets winner (Baltimore, 2003) and general manager of niche label/publishing company, A.M.TuneShop; and singer/songwriter Ken Smith.
