How Job Got Jacked Part 1 - M. H. Dennis

Job 1:1 (NET)

Job 1:8 (NET) So the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a pure and upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil.

Job was a Godly man.

Job 1:9 -10 (NET) Then Satan answered the Lord, Is it for nothing that Job fears God? Have you not made a hedge around him and his household and all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his livestock have increased in the land.

In response to Satan, God never denied putting a hedge around Job.

Job 2:4(NET)

Satans bet God that if God would take away Jobs hedge that Job would curse God to his face.

Satan enticed God to harm Job, but God wouldn't do it!

Job 1: 12 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold (Look!), all that he hath is (already) in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

In Job 1:12, many English translations sound as if God opened Jobs hedge of protection around Job; however, the King James Version has God telling Satan that his hedge was already opened, and God is merely pointing it out. all that he hath is in thy power.

Job 1:12 (http://yltbible.com) And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. I was told by a Greek professor that the Youngs Literal Translation is the most accurate of all English translations (awkward but accurate). It confirms the King James Version translation of this verse. If Jobs hedge was opened, just how did it get open? Lets look in the Bible for clues.
