COVID Kept This Mother And Daughter Apart For A Year, Now They're Finally Reuniting

Last year during the pandemic, millions of moms felt the ache of empty arms and COVID kept this mother and daughter apart for a year and now they’re reuniting.

Every mama knows how difficult it is to be apart from their children. Whether their child is at school, moved away for work, or moved across the country to get married. They may not be with us in the present, but we carry them in our hearts until they’re in our arms.

James, the dad knew how much Linda was missing their daughter. There’s nothing quite as special as the unique and unbreakable relationship between a mother and her daughter. After James realized the immense heartache his wife was feeling, he knew needed to do something. So, he called in for reinforcements to get the job done. He called the radio station to enlist their help in surprising his wife. Radio hosts, Kyle and Jackie were more than willing to help, especially after they learned Linda hadn’t seen her daughter in 14 months. WOW!

One morning, James and Linda head to the radio station because James told her they won a prize: a package of three nights stay in Sydney. Instead, it’s the prize of a lifetime.

While Kyle and Jamie are on air they invite James and Linda onto the live show to talk about their prize. As they chat, Kyle leads the conversation to motherhood and asks Linda about her kids. Of course, Linda gushes about her three children but particularly her daughter. She comments that she hadn’t seen her in more than a year when James says, “Wouldn’t it be nice to swing open the door and your daughter is there.”

It was Mother’s Day magic! There, standing behind the closed doors was her daughter and son-in-law. The tears of heartache and twinges of longing were immediately washed away as fresh tears of joy and thankfulness flowed freely from everyone in the room, not just mama Linda!

Surprise! Mom, you get to hold your baby girl again for the first time after over a year apart. We agree with what James said as he watched the pair hug each other so tightly, “Every mum deserves a cuddle with their daughter.”
