Opera-Singing Family Win French Talent Competition With Chilling Finale Performance
Move over ‘Sound of Music’ fans, the Lefevres are the real-life family to follow the famous singing von Trapps.
The Lefevres are an opera-singing family, and they won a French talent competition with a beautiful opera finale performance. The family of eight including parents, Gabriel and Anne Lefèvre, rose through the ranks of the show Got Talent with their wide range of vocals and love of Opera, despite being criticized about their faith.
When the family first auditioned, they merely wanted to do something fun. But after making it onto the show and into the competition, they soon realized God had a much bigger purpose for them. As a family who regularly sang in church, they didn’t think anything was odd, strange, or different about their song choices.
But they honestly didn’t expect to be challenged for their music choices which not only honored our mighty God but also showcased the wide range of beautiful vocals the entire family has. Throughout the season of the show, the family relied on their faith and their love of music.
Their last performance was no different. The family worked together to create a stunning performance. Because of the pandemic, the family performed at home. They dressed in beautiful pink gowns and evening suits with their youngest son wearing shorts and a bow tie.
As they sang, their mother also played the flute. They performed All Bells in Paradise by John Rutter, Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, and the family astounded the judges with their version of Silent Night. The family silenced critics of their faith with their incredible talent.
The family knew God held them in His hands and gave them this astounding opportunity to showcase not only their talent what a Christain family looks like. The Lefèvre family won because of their beautiful performance and became winners of the whole season! This is one stunning performance you don’t want to miss!
“Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel,” Philippians 1:27
