How to Overcome Temptation, Part 111 (Anger and Wrath) (Onward Christian Soldiers #235)
Ephesians 4:26-32
This passage makes it clear that there is a distance between anger and sin. Simply being angry is not a sin. But, when you act out of anger, or allow anger to breed resentment and hatred in your heart, a common, human emotion becomes something sinful. That is why Scripture tells us, "neither give place to the devil." The Greek words translated as "give place" mean to grant or allow room. When we are angry we are creating space in our lives for sin. That is why we are commanded to squash anger, preferably before the sun goes down.
