Koala Jumps Into Car When Man Leaves The Door Open

A local winemaker was in for a surprise when a koala jumps into his car after leaving the door open.

Tim Whitrow was out working on his family’s vineyard when he left his car running with the air conditioning on.

He wrote on Facebook about the experience saying, “I had left my door open for my dog to come in and out as she pleased with the A/C on. As I was moving to another part of the vineyard I noticed that someone else was also in the car enjoying the A/C. It took a fair bit of convincing to get the feisty little fella out.”

Tim was stunned to return to his vehicle and find a koala sitting in the cool air. It seems that the wild animal was looking for some shade and relaxation and found the perfect spot.

The koala climbed into the back seat and made himself at home. It took Tim quite a while to get the koala out of his vehicle and it didn’t come without a cost. The koala started to claw the dashboard and leave marks with his sharp nails.

Thankfully, no one was harmed during the encounter and the koala scampered back to his home. But Tim recorded the entire incident and it’s pretty hilarious to watch.

I’m sure that this was not what he expected to see after a day working outside. You never know what animals in nature are going to do. What would you have done in this situation?
