Firefighter Receives Hospital Escort On The Way To Donate Organs
It was an emotional moment captured on camera as this deceased firefighter receives a hospital escort on the way to donate his organs. 31-year-old Cody Mooney was a firefighter with South Metro Fire Rescue in Colorado.
Two years ago, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. After a hard battle, Cody underwent surgery in February. But complications led to the young man passing away. Sadly, he leaves behind his pregnant wife and four children. But even in death, Cody is continuing to save lives. As an organ donor, this firefighter has the opportunity to enrich countless more lives for those waiting for a transplant. After he took his last breath, Cody was wheeled out of his hospital room to the transplant center.
During this journey, fellow firefighters and hospital staff lined the hallway to pay their respects to this inspiring man. There were plenty of tears as Cody’s wife walked alongside her husband for one last time. Even though he may no longer be with us on this earth, we can take comfort knowing that Cody is safe in the arms of the Lord. And this beautiful tribute during his last moments is the perfect way to show respect and admiration for this incredible man. We thank you for your service and you’re continued effort to save the lives of others.
Revelations 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
