Soldier Surprises Wife Who Just Gave Birth To Twins

A soldier surprises his wife with a touching reunion after she just gave birth to their twin girls.

Staff Sgt. Skyler Cooper is a member of the Kansas Army National Guard. For most of the past year, Skyler has been serving overseas in Kuwait. In fact, when his wife, Cydney, found out that she was pregnant, she gave him the news over the phone. Even their gender reveal was done virtually as Cydney enlisted the help of his fellow soldiers to tell him they would be having twin girls.

But when Cydney came down with the flu, she went into labor and delivered the twins prematurely. This strong woman did all of this by herself, while still caring for their two sons at home. Because she delivered seven weeks early, the twin girls needed to stay in the NICU at the hospital. Cydney found herself splitting time between the hospital and her kids at home. So, when Skyler walked through the doors, Cydney was overcome with emotion.

This 27-year-old burst into tears as her husband met his baby girls for the very first time. This entire year has been an emotionally taxing time for the young mother and to see her husband home, where he belongs, must be an incredible feeling.

When she posted the video on Facebook, Cydney wrote, "1 year of crazy, 1000s of miles, 1 solo pregnancy and delivery, 48392 Skype calls, some superheros, a few plane rides, 12 NICU days, tons of help from family and friends, and many tears later . . .A soldier came home.” God bless this family and thank you, Staff Sgt. Cooper, for fighting to protect our freedoms.
