The Sin of Prayerlessness, Part 24 (The Prayer Motivator Devotional #493)

Our prayer motivator passage for today is II Chronicles 33:10-13 which reads: "And the Lord spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord he was God."

My personal encouragement to you today is this: Families are in need of a great amount of intercession. Even if your marriage and family seem strong right now, seek out those families in your community who are on the rocks and make it your mission to pray for them daily.

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Andrew Murray. He said: "Here is the reason why many people pray for the power of the Holy Ghost, and they get something, but oh, so little! because they prayed for power for work, and power for blessing, but they have not prayed for power for full deliverance from self."

Our prayer motivator devotional today is part 24 of our series titled "THE SIN OF PRAYERLESSNESS" from Dr. John R. Rice.
