Freed from Tithing, Free to Give - Part 2 of 4
This series is based on a ten-part blog series that I wrote a few years ago (http://blog.graceroots.org/p/tithe-series.html). In Part 2 I end up talking about Malachi, and in doing so I make the point that Malachi was simply referring back to the laws that had previously been given to the tribes of Israel. So I start off by going through those various tithing instructions and in doing so I make the point that it's absolute foolishness to try to apply these instructions and concepts to the New Covenant church.
Malachi says to bring the tithes into the storehouse. But what were the tithes? And what was the "storehouse"? Why do we try to make these things fit into the church today?!
