Arrupe Summer Program

The Arrupe Summer Program (ASP) at Saint Ignatius High School is an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a young person this summer. During the month-long program, you will work with one or two economically disadvantaged children from the near west side of Cleveland. As an ASP counselor, you will act as a mentor, tutor, coach, and friend. Here's how it works:


What: ASP offers academic enrichment, arts and life skills, sports and fitness, field trips, time for reflection, FUN.

Who: Approximately 40 Saint Ignatius High School students and 40 young ladies from local high schools will work with youth in 3rd-6th grades.

When: Thursday, June 11 – Friday, July 10 (You must be available for every day of camp to be considered for a counselor position) from 8:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Where: Arrupe Neighborhood Partnership at Saint Ignatius High School. Camp begins each day on Kyle Field, next to Arrupe House (2071 West 30th). Morning classes take place in classrooms at Saint Ignatius High School. Afternoon sessions take place at a variety of indoor and outdoor locations on the campus of Saint Ignatius. Four off-site field trips are planned.
