Malawi Missions Trip, Summer 2008 Part I
This was recorded in early 2007 on a mission trip to Bangula in the Lower Shire of Malawi, where we operate an orphan and widow feeding center for AIDS and Malaria victims. This video, coupled with Part II, tells a graphic story of the magnitude of the problem there. Since then it has not gotten better-it has gotten worse but, Praise the LORD, we have been able to make a huge difference through His help. We have even opened up three more feeding centers, one more in Malawi and twon in Mozambique, in an area so remote we had to come in by dugout canoes across the croc infested Shire River and ride on the back of bicycles (the local taxis) over an hour to reach people who have never even been visited by outsiders, let alone white people. While there, we show the Jesus film in Chichewa, people come from all around, virtually from out of nowhere, and many hands go up to receive Jesus as their personal LORD and Savior. It happens every time. The Lower Shire is an area devastated by the HIV/AIDS and malaria crisis, and food shortages from the resultant lack of workers to produce food. Add to that flooding, lack of any clean water and you have deadly conditions. The second part of this video is at http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=f2bd4490c7cdb07577f6

Today's Devotional
A Prayer for Intentional Friendships and Connection at a New Church - Your Daily Prayer - May 25
When we finally decided to make the change and find a new church, we sat down to talk about the things we were looking for. My heart felt grief wash over again. Aside from wanting a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church, at the top of my list was wanting a church that desired to truly know its people.
