'A Thousand Hallelujahs' Brooke Ligertwood Live Performance
Contemporary Christian artist Brooke Ligertwood leads us in worship with the beautiful words of ‘A Thousand Hallelujahs.’ These words are the perfect reminder that all of our blessings come from above and we should use our voices to praise His Name.
“With a thousand hallelujahs we magnify Your Name
You alone deserve the glory
The honor and the praise
Lord Jesus this song is forever Yours”
You may recognize Brooke as part of the world-renowned group, Hillsong Worship. Hillsong Worship has been a leader in worship music since 1983. The group started as the band for their home church, in Sydney, Australia. But as their popularity grew, the group decided to share their talents with the entire world, while spreading God’s Word.
After years of singing with the group, Brooke is setting out on her own with the single ‘A Thousand Hallelujahs.’ This powerful song is featured on Brooke’s debut album, ‘Seven.’
“Who else would die for our redemption
Whose resurrection means I’ll rise
There isn’t time enough to sing of all You’ve done
But I have eternity to try”
Brooke wrote this song alongside her husband, Scott, and fellow Christian artist Phil Wickham. On Instagram, Phil wrote about the writing process. “For me most songs feel like God leads me to a field and hands me a shovel. I know something beautiful is there but it takes time and work to dig it up. But once in a while a song just feels like a gift. That’s what “A Thousand Hallelujahs” felt like the day it was written. A true gift.”
Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.”
