Adorable Dog Experiences His First Snow Playing with His Papa Pup - Cute Videos

Like a child discovering something new, this adorable dog experiences his first snow with his papa pup, and it is super fun to watch!  

This pint-sized and precious father-son pair make their home in snowy Ottawa, Canada. Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, is located in the province of Ontario, is approximately a 3-hour drive from Syracuse, New York, and sees about 69 inches of snow yearly.  

These Canadian canines enjoyed 2022’s first snowfall in their hometown on November 16, a solid week before their brothers and sisters to the south were even celebrating Thanksgiving!

Watch as Norwich Terriers Papa Russell and Puppy Miles welcome winter! 

3-year-old Russell is beginning his fourth winter season while his little one is seeing the white stuff for the first time. Russell wears a practical, brown cargo-type coat. His covering has a pocket on the side, and he may very well have necessities for the outing stowed in there!

Little Miles wears a youthful hoodie jacket in gray and red. The two look alike, but Miles is  entirely the color of very creamy coffee, while Russell has a black back and tail.  

From the very first moments of the video, we see who is the senior pup. The door opens, and Miles steps up to the threshold but is quickly bumped to the side as Dog Dad moves forward and onto the ledge. Russell takes the lead, venturing confidently onto the frosty earth while Miles holds back, unsure of what to make of the fluffy, white layer. 

Miles taps his paw into the snow first, testing out the feel of the unfamiliar. He slowly makes his way beyond the doorway. There is a quick break for Miles to get properly attired, and then the discovery process resumes. He sticks his nose in the snow and then shakes the flakes from his puppy face several times. 

By 1:05, Russell has become a little bored, but Miles is just getting wound up! He frolics around the yard and chases his human about—just like a child on their first snow day of the school year! 

There aren’t many things sweeter than the unbridled joy and innocence of the firsts in a child’s life. Or a dog’s life! May the joy of our young ones be magnified, the innocence of them extended!
