The Influences of the World - Christian Music Videos

A symbolic short of the influences we go through in our lives.

Symbolism has been an incredible way to show things in film and music. I wanted the chance to make one of those films. This idea popped into my head and now it's in a 2min film.



The movie shows a boy struggling with the negative influences, which eventually take over him. Then, the positive influence of the bible take care of the negative influences.



Certain things in the film are symbolic, such as the mixture of all the negative influences the boy recieves after being taken over.



Another huge one is the changing colors between the opening and title screen. The shade of gray at the beginning shows a side of darkness and light (black and white mixed makes gray). This is seen later when the boy tries to run, but is still taken over.

The white in the closing credits represents pureness, which can be recieved from Jesus.



Also if you haven't noticed, the three particular influences in this video are addiction (symbolized by the beer), a need to fit in (symbolized by the comedian), and greed (symbolized by the gangster with the sunglasses).
