2009-2-15 A Taste of Jesus...As the Substitute
I want you to notice how many times it speaks of the innocence of Jesus in our chapter for today. So, why didn't He argue His case? Why didn't He defend Himself? The accusations were false. The trial was a joke. The witnesses couldn't even get their stories straight. And, you know He could have called ten thousand angels to come to his aid. There was a reason for His silence. He was taking our place! "He, who knew no sin, became sin for us." Thank you, thank you, Jesus!
