"The Only Mediator," Larger Catechism Question #36, by Rev. Richard Scott MacLaren
How shall we meet with God? When Israel met with God at Mt. Sinai, they begged Moses to represent them before the Lord, because the glory of the Lord was too great for them. We are not worthy to enter the presence of God, nor are we sufficient to stand before him. But God has graciously provided for us a Mediator, Jesus Christ, who is uniquely equipped to reconcile us to God. Watch as Pastor MacLaren explains from the Larger Catechism of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church the unique and sufficient mediatorial role of Jesus Christ, the one who is fully God and fully man, one person in two natures. This meditation was provided during the Sunday Worship Service of May 2, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church of Perkasie, PA (www.firstchurchopc.org), Rev. Richard Scott MacLaren is the pastor.

A Prayer of Comfort for Families Missing Their Fallen Military Heroes - Your Daily Prayer - May 27
Because the general public views them as fallen heroes deserving of patriotic honor, many may mistakenly think that this somehow helps to soften the blow of the loss to their family members. But for many families, it can be extremely difficult to accept and process, especially because their passing is without warning, unexpected, and with no opportunity to say goodbye.
