Catechism: "What Is Justification?" First OPC Perkasie
How does God make us right in his sight? There have been many answers, beginning with those who deny that there is any problem at all in our relationship to God, to those who recognize that there is a problem, but don't see how severe the problem is. The Reformed faith has been faithful in explaining the desperate nature of our sin and its consequences before a holy God, but with such universal and uncompromising claims, how can anyone be acceptable before God? The answer is in the doctrine of justification, a doctrine that is at the heart of the gospel message. Watch as Pastor MacLaren explains the answer of thte Larger Catechism during the Sunday Worship Service of First Presbyterian Church, Perkasie, PA, on 1/09/2011. Rev. Richard Scott MacLaren is the pastor.

A Prayer for God to Be Your Shield and Portion Today - Your Daily Prayer - May 24
I love this passage in the Bible because it sums up the spiritual reality in all difficult circumstances. How many times do we see the enemy and opposing forces against us, just like Elisha’s servant? And that puts us in a panic - yet the angelic armies of the Living God are unseen but present nonetheless, and far greater. We just need to see that substantial truth!
