In Today's sermon, Pastor Jim Rhodes exhorts us to live as Jesus did - not living to be served, but to serve others. When we value others as God does, it will prompt our hearts to respond in service. Jesus didn't stay in some high and lofty place; He went down to where the people were for that is where the problems were. We need to look for the hurting, the broken, the marginalized, just as Jesus did. Helping others is NEVER an accident. It is for those who first give themselves to God. The more we are willing to give ourselves to Jesus, the more we are willing to give ourselves to others. Serving is not a one-time endeavor; it is a life-long, day-by-day commitment. There is always someone else to serve. Have the mindset of being a blessing to everyone you meet, for there is no greater honor than to be an instrument of God for serving others.
